Challenge
Juniper Networks has a wealth of technical information about designing, building, deploying and running networks of all types. Getting that information into the hands of partners and customers where it would be extremely valuable would help educate partners on Juniper’s products and smooth customer implementation. Juniper needed someone who knew the publishing world, and could quickly and effectively find the right publishers and get a program up and running.
Solution Develop a variety of technical books on network concepts, technologies, design and implementation to be published by a variety of distinguished publishers and distributed through major booksellers.
Patrick Ames worked with internal technical experts at Juniper to identify information that would be useful to partners and customers. He developed detailed book proposals based on that information, negotiated contracts with appropriate publishers and guided the entire development and publishing process.
